So both my rear OME bushings are shot.

Metal on metal.

Any thoughts on replacements?

I'm thinking Fox?

New bushings are about $20 if you don't want to spend the $$ for new shocks. Slee and Cruiser Outfitters has them.

If you're set on buying new....

ICON?
Fox?
Slee?

I was under the impression that you had to "press" the new bushings in? Also, the posts on cutting the floorboard bummed me out.

You don't need to do either. When I ditched the Radflo's and went to the L Shocks, I had to press the bushings in. I did it by hand. I think I actually used a big C clamp and some washers. It wasn't too hard. A $5 big C clamp from Lowe's, a washer as big as the bushing, and press it in. If you have real man hands, you probably don't even need the C Clamp.

For shock removal, use a strap wrench to hold the shock body and a 19mm ratcheting wrench to loosen the top nut. No need to cut your floor.

Good to know! Thanks man!

C clamp definitely works, but if you have access to a vice it is even easier. I put a light coat of silicone lube in the steel sleeve and pop them right in. Could probably do it bare handed, but why? John

Agree..... If you don't have silicone lube, a little soapy water works too. Point being, you could refurb your OME's for $25 all in, and 1-2 hours. If the bottom bushings are shot, you might as well replace the tops too. So maybe $45 all in.

Why did you ditch the radflo's? I was thinking of picking up some 2.5" with remote res.

Lick the bushing, pop it into place with your hands. Or use a vice/c-clamp.
