I've got a lifted (not sure how much, probably 3") 1987 HJ61, and the front shocks are shot, as in dripping oil shot. I can't tell what kind of shocks they were, any lettering is long gone (aside from "made in mexico" and "do not open", which are stamped at the bottom), but the measurements are 26.5" fully extended, 23" on the truck, and 19" compressed. The attached picture is not upside down, it's an inverted shock (courtesy of an unknown previous owner).

It's mostly a highway truck, scarcely ever go offroad with it. What kind of shocks should I be getting, and from where/whom?

I'm using rancho's on my lifted hj (about 2"). They do a fine job and i like the fact that i can adjust damping on the fly...
