I am currently looking for a Heavy Duty Clutch kit for my 12H-T. But I have a few questions:
I own an HJ61, manual transmission, the engine (12H-T) of which was sourced from another car, in other words I don't have/remember info as to the production year of my engine. Yet, when searching the internet for the Clutch KIT, I ran across what seems to be 2 types of 12H-T:
a) One Clutch kit ad reads: "HEAVY DUTY Clutch Kit for TOYOTA LANDCRUISER HJ61R 4.0L TD 12HT 2/1986-9/1987"
b) The other reads: "HEAVY DUTY clutch kit for TOYOTA LANDCRUISER HJ61 4.0L 12H-T TURBO 87-90"
1) Would either Clutch kit fits to my 12H-T?
2) How do I know the production year of the 12H-T (and 2H ) engine when I don't have the originating car's VIN?
3) Apart from Terrain Tamer, what other Aftermarket manufacturer would your recommend for quality (Heavy Duty) Clutch kits?
