Any ideas what I need to be looking for ? I have looked at some shifter cables to run to the 4L60E and all seem very long.

I would leke to get a push and pull cable.. Thanks

What shifter are you planning to use the cable with?

IMO, two choices...Lokar or Art Carr....neither is cheap, both are top quality.

Thanks for the input Woody.

I am planning to (tack it up first) use the one here .. It offers a small stick and I can light up the gear indicator. But so far I have not been able to locate a suitable cable for the contraption.

Wish I can get some pictures to give me a good visual ..

I will check out the ones you have listed, as I am having second thoughts about the shifter being too short despit it matching the upholstry.

Landcruiserphil, what cable did you use for the camaro shifter? I have been trying to get a camaro shifter to work in my 55, but the cable is too short. Did you elongate your shifter.

Bill I run the same set up in my 60 and yes they are both tight. I replaced the one in the 60 back in 6/96 but my notes would of/should of indicated if it was anything different. I looked for tags on both of them no luck but they are the same length so I can only assume that they are from the Camaro.

Not sure what you mean by elongating the shifter

Don't mind me, my brain is half dead  I ment, did you make the cable longer? If not, then the bend in that camaro cable must be tight?
