Hey All,
I'm fairly new to my 92 and it didn't come with an OM. From doing a little research on various threads am I correct in saying that the "Shift Lock Override" button is only to shift the car out of park should some automated trigger (burnt brake light fuse, wire problem from the battery) prevent me from doing so?
Can it have any affect when pressing it while actually driving? Can doing this hurt anything? Also, when you press it should it depress and stick down, and then return to a higher position when pressed again?
Am I to think of it as a neat safety gizmo kind of like the "Clutch Start/Cancel" on my old 80's mini-pick-up?
