I know it's not really "Tech" but I don't know where this type of question should land, so here goes:

I have a triple stick setup and currently the shift knobs are just plain Q-ball style. Wanted to see if anyone knew of a company that makes matching knobs with the shift patterns on them. Would like them to all match - which with "27% overdrive" and an up arrow on one of them - is difficult without custom work.

So does ih8mud have a preferred "custom shift knob" vendor?

So obviously I've been googling and without someone's recommendation I'll probably go with hotrodshiftknob.com

QUestion is, where can I find the thread size for the 4 speed, the transfer case and the Ranger Torque splitter? Google has not been helpful.

Thanks in advance.

There's a guy on the vendor section who sells shift knobs cruiser crap is his business name I think I've been drooling over his five speed teq knobs but I think shipping to Aus might be a bit much

Thanks! Yeah - I found him and sent him a note as well.

We'll see where the quotes come out. Color matching to my exterior color, because... why not.

Feeling a little like a knob having a set of shift knobs custom made, but it's only money I guess.

i always use the wrong knobs ,never know when someone may try to steal one because someone stole an fj40 from me back in 1974 and it never surfaced again.probably one of the guys looking for vin plates has it

Jamesurg, I got your note - Iam going to try and give you a call today. We should be able to color match your knob, It's been done before. There is no direct auto color to PMS color chart, so we might have to get creative in matching that color.

12m x 1.25 is the size for the 4 speed, You will also find 10mm x 1.25 on some Toyota trucks, and 8mm x 1.25 for the T-case.

Here are some pictures of custom shift ball we have done for the Ih8mud crowd. In fact 90% of my business is the ih8mud crowd, does that make me the official ih8mud vendor?

Iam the only one who produces the "Offical" Ih8mud shiftball!
