Anyone got a killer shepherd's pie recipe?

Shepard's pie? That'll be my dinner tonight at a local pub. I had no idea lard was used in the recipe.

Had it once.......their recipe was pretty bland IMO.

Rotel is one of my key ingredients..

Here's my quick and easy one, and the family thinks it's killer:
Cook two packages of Idahoan smashed taters (original, buttery, or baby reds, doesn't matter)..
Brown 1 lb ground with one can of Herdez salsa, drain.
Put beef in mixing bowl w/1 can (drained) whole kernal corn, 1 can Rotel (drained) and liberal amounts of grated sharp chedder and half of the smashed taters, mix..
Transfer the goo into a baking dish, pile the second half of the taters on top and cover with more cheese.
Bake at 350 till it looks done.

My wife makes a pretty good one.
But I won't ask her the recipe because she'll make fun of me for being on a cruiser site with cooking and recipe swapping s*** going on..
