First sorry for the multiple posts from the National Board...but I wanted to make sure if you all have heard, but Shannon, the founder of TTORA, is currently in a hospital and in a coma - all steming from an accident.

Here is the thread from the National board of TTORA about Shannon. http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106628

There is a fund that has been organized and other events getting set up to help off set the up coming medical bills.

Anyways, hope you get to send him and his family good wishes or even better a card or ballon (sorry no flowers - he is in the SICU).

Thanks for reading.

Good news! They took the breathing tube out yesterday morning. He is still a little dazed, but he responds to you and tries to talk. His throat is still a little irritated so the doctors say it may be a few days before he talk good. He still gets a little anxious with visitors and his blood pressure goes up, so they have asked us to limit the amount of time we spend with him so we don't get him too anxious. If everything keeps going good they move him from the ICU to a regular room in a few days. Still doing dialysis every other day to help his kidneys. Just going to time to heal, but he is getting there!

shannon is doing better this morning. He is still a little dazed, but he is coming out of it. Nurses say that they may move him out of the icu to a regular room later on today. Still doing dialysis. But he is improving! His blood pressure is ok. It is not going up as much as it was when we visit. He is able to talk a little better this morning. Will let you know when they move him to a room.

Great news!

I am Shannon's cousin and I stayed last night at the hospital with him...I had a chance to show him alot of the threads on him...he still is trying to get his strength back so we only went thru a few pages...he said that is nice he really enjoyed looking at what you guys have been posting about him and we talked about where some of you are from and such...we had a nice time and it is sooooooooooo good to see him talking and starting to act like himself...Thank you so much for all of your prayers...keep praying for a speedy recovery....Karleneb:)

Got to see Shannon and his mom for a bit today...

Just kinda hung around..He is still weak. but was able to talk for a while =.HOSPITAL FOOD IS CRAP..
Nothing was open at the hospital (storm had things closed) to get him some real food..I'll probably take him some Chick-Fil-A chicken noodle soup...He also was drinking sprite, so maybe take some down there next time , I had brought him Diet Coke (no crown) ....

He is still going through dialysis in the mornings that leaves him pretty tired. They are wanting more production from his kidneys to help him lose a lot of the water he is retaining.

He is in a private room on 6b now and it is a small room ...

We need to get together and make some care baskets for him and whover is staying with him...I know its gotta be tough for his family going back and forth to stay there with him...

Today on TTORA:

Hey guys, I'm broadcasting live to you straight from my hospital bed!

I just wanted to logon and tell y'all how much I appreciate what y'all are doing. Words really can't describe how I feel. Just seeing that my 4x4 brothers would help me up when I've been kicked pretty hard to the ground is truely an awesome thing!

Just an update, my kidneys are still not functioning properly. The doctors say that it can sometimes take up to 6 weeks for them to start functioning like they should. Right now I'm just playing the waiting game and hoping they start working.

That's about all the typing I can muster right now....pretty tired. I'll start logging in more often though!

Shannon is getting released from the hospital!!!!
