That be the super secret, very limited edition, white model with factory lift and snorkle? ;) :flipoff2:

As the creator of the fabulous one-off Great White Buffalo in Mr. kaderabek's possession, allow me to retort.

The decal set came by way of a friend who received it from a Toyota marketing employee at the west coast port AFTER the 40ths were done. It was a left-over or one that was skipped so no truck was robbed of it. Each port/distributor received an allocation of the kits from the total batch of 5000 though not all of them were used. And the serial numbers we not tied to the VINs, though...most numbers that are near one another should have all been sold in the same geographic area.

As for my decision to put the badge on that truck, I decided that in its configuration (loaded with everything but an ARB beer cooler) it was as deserving as a stock one.

I miss my truck.

It has an ARB beer cooler now, which begs the question, what am I doing at work on such a nice day?

I concur: deserving.

In a perfect world, IH8MUD would have zero posts today and we'd all be in Moab.

That truck could not have possibly gone to a better home. Just proves that its all destiny.

As elusive as an actual 1990 production date (1990 titled) FJ62 I'd bet.

Car salesmen....

Oh, and some :princess: is sure to complain about the language....

Gee and I was so confident my size 15's couldn't possibly still fit all the way into my mouth. Proved wrong again! I wrenched at a dealership for many years and afterwords spent many FAC's with the salesmen.....seemed to be kind of a running joke with them how quick they could figure out the customer and come up with just the perfect story and get the commission. My appologies to anyone I just dissed! Like anything, not everyone fits into the stereotype that others create.

Hey, the car business got that image because that's the way it was. But being in it again after a 10 year hiatus I can say it has changed a lot, for the better.

Uggg dont remind me! 12 of the Cascade Cruisers trucks are down there. Heck I even loaned my tow rig and trailer so a friend could go. Working on a bunch of trucks heading out and prepping my tow rig put me through all the paces like I was going. So here I am working away at home thinking about the guys running Pritchett today. Should be past Rock Pile now....
Way it goes---baby’s due any day now, so I am home for a good reason.

Thanks for sending that shot in. Charlie wanted it on the cover, I didn't know how well that would go over so I vetoed the idea.

Aaaaaaha! It would have made a GREAT cover shot! Man dont be so hard on yourself just because you’re the bugger in the left seat. I think readers like to see the editor out mixing it up on the trails! Besides helps your street’cred.
