Last Uwharrie Run of the season Dec. 12-13, you can make it?

My calendar is marked and I've informed the wife. I'm sure to miss some fun Christmas parties but am happy to so as to spend time on the trails and recreating that scene from Blazing Saddles.

All,

I know in the past it hadn't worked out but I will be talking with Terry with the Uwharrie NFS at 10 today to make arrangements for erosion training and workdays on this trip. Plans plan to attend and show support to maintain and improve our states trail system....more details to follow our conversation

We are going to be there friday night as well..... I guess that message also got deleted

Just had a close call. We are going to be at a truck show in Sept and as luck would have it, it's the week before. So we dodged a bullet on that one. :bounce: For a minute there, I thought I might miss the ride.

Plan, to be their, Sat.a.m. will meet up at campsite. Look forward to meeting you cruiserheads. A newbie to the club , John Drose ,75 Fj4o Maxton,N.C.

All,

Before the thread got reset due to the server problem, I mentioned trying to follow the same plan that Greg set up for our last Uwharrie trip. If that sounds reasonable, I'll set-up a link to the old PDF file. If we have the same amount of interest as we did at the last one, we may have to split into 3 groups, and have 3 different routes.

Friday night camping is setup for those wanting to do it. Badin Lake Group Campsite A.

Saturday morn. meet at the Outpost at 8 for safety inspection and group selection, and we'll head out at 9. We had a lot of people just do a day trip, but I encourage everyone to stay the night for some good comraderie and cold ones...

Food ideas? Pot-Luck? Mexican?

PM me if you have any questions.

Still doing Saturday night. Just want people to know Friday was requested and added and people can show up to the campsite starting at 4 on Friday...

I vote for Mexican.

We can do chicken and steak fajitas/soft tacos with beans and rice. Should be easy to cook for a ton of peeps.

Stephanie can also make guacamole She makes the best I've ever had...honest!!!

If everyone is ok with this lets start a list of who brings what.

What about every rig brings enough meat and wraps/tacos for the people in their group, and we'll just throw all the meat in the same pot? (Seafood separate, of course) Then we can just blurt out what everyone's going to bring in addition? Such as guac, chips, cheese, beans, etc. and so forth...????

We can bring some pineapple-mango salsa

I am 90% sure that me, the wife, and the boys (3.5 and 1.5) will be coming. We will try for Friday and Saturday nights. We can bring whatever y'all need. Sharon is an excellent culinary artist.

I think I'm going to make this a Saturday run with my wife, twin girls (5), and two boys (3 & 1). Looking forward to a great ride.

Hi Guys, and GarnerFJ40

I'm still planning on coming down from Virginia Beach. I havent been able to get anyone else in the club to commit though. The usual "broken this", "sand in my that" excuses.

I do have 1 or 2 Jeep friends that would like to come. Is that Ok or are you trying to keep it all LC?

Thanks
-Dave

While I can't speak for the rest of the group that is fine with me, we had two jeeps with us last time.
