Turnout was good, with about 35 people by my count.

Old Business:

Moab: Most people are going Thursday and coming back Monday, except for Jon who is coming back who knows when. Rudy is going on Friday.

New Business:

We will try to get a run together in two weeks (Saturday the 20th?) as a combination September run / shakedown run for Moab. It may just be to the Puerco, although the pipeline road across the middle of the Jemez has eroded quite badly over the last few years and may be somewhat challenging. This would be 3 weeks before Moab.

Get out and VOTE! This election is particularly polarizing, with outdoor enthusiasts vs. urban city type people.

Next Meeting:
The first Friday or Sunday of October, hopefully. The second weekend is Moab. Marc will check his calendar and see which/if they can host.

We gave out the last of the shirts, and will be looking at more of the same or possibly some different logos. Rory has started a new thread on the subject:

David Lawrence gave a rundown on the Forest Service's new travel management plan - see this thread:

It is very important to be involved in this.

Today's meeting/picnic was great. Special thanks to David for driving the Troopy down from from SF instead of a boring old Subaru. I hope she made it back up the hill. It was also great to meet so many new folks and finally put faces to the names.

It looks good for us hosting the October meeting on Friday, October 3rd, from 6-9.

thanks Steve, for running things while i was out playing.:D

I pretty much just showed up. Dave did most ofthe work and Rory got most of the meat. Thanks guys - Next year maybe the group site at Ponderosa, overnight... I think there are 4x4 places to go around there close.
