MINUTES SEPT O6
TJ was out, so Frank led the meeting. First up was the
MOab trip on the 26th. Everyone will meet at Johnson's
Corner at 8pm for dinner than, off to Moab to run Metal
Masher, Coyote, and Hell's Revenge.
He also discussed whether or not we should stagger
officer elections to allow new officers to have some old
officers to wean them into their new positions. It was
agreed that this was a good idea.
Frank would like to see Horsetooth start an annual event,
eventually to become a TLCA sanctioned event. We
discussed a few options, so far Ouray is the best
possible location...please use the forum to suggest
names, or even other locations. We'd like to stick to
Colorado since we have lots of our own state that works
great for trails.
Frank also has a friend, Jason Jones, who's great at
promotional stuff and finding ways to generate money.
He'd like to create a position for Jason as a promotional
manager. If anyone else is interested, please let us
know with a small summary of your talents.
We also discussed hosting End O Summer again in 08.
While we would be the hosting club, all the northern
clubs would help out. We will need folks to create a
committee and organize, trail runs, camping locations,
one large food feast, possible t-shirts/stickers/event
goodies, leaders and gunners for the trails, tech
inspection, etc.
We'd also like to get stickers soon of our club
logo...stay tuned for this cool membership option!
This meeting we had some cool raffle prizes courtesy of
Coyote Cruisers! Two sets of tire deflators and two t
shirts. we decided the winning raffle person/people
would purchase a prize worth around $10 to raffle at the
next meeting.
