Sensor Cleaning/Check? (1 Viewer)

Good afternoon,
Recently my 08 LC has notified me that my parking sensors need to be checked. A few weeks ago a similar message said they needed to be cleaned.
Has anyone had this warning and what kind of cleaning/checking is really to be done?

The parking sensors look clean - I washed them... but I'm not certain what else to do/check....

Has no one had this happen yet to their parking sensors? Yay - I'm the first!

Do they work? I would check the connections to make sure there is no damage or corrosion. Other than that I am beyond clueless.

I am enjoying all the bells and whistles on my new 2013 but I am not looking forward to keeping them all working over the years....

They were working fine - then I got the occasional "clean sensors" notification.....and now they aren't working and it says "check sensors". Visually they appear fine and so do their connections. I suppose I'll need to find some time to trouble shoot them.

I agree with you on the issue of keeping "high tech" gadgets working! BTW your 100 series sounds like it was a nice rig!
