Finally, a SEMA show that I can actually attend!

check it out at www.semaoffroad.com, Feb 4, 5th, 2005
Indiana convention center.

If anyone else wanna go/share/convoy, let me know.

ps leave the ladies at home for this one :flipoff2:

I would love to go, but it's a trade only event so I don't think that I could get in the gate without proof of trade status. Which would be the same dilemma that prevents me from attending the Vegas event that I long to go to every year. Oh… and is Slee going to be there?

Petersen's 4Wheel mag says that it's a public event so that's why I'm going. I've put in a phone call to SEMA to see what they have to say. I'll post any info here.

SEMA tells me that Petersen magazine made a mistake and this event is not open to the public. Can someone sneak me in? I really wanna go damn it!

This show had been a regional SEMA the last couple of years. It got a larger off-road focus last year, and this year is full fledged "Off Road".

If it's like last year's, though, it didn't really have a whole lot of cool stuff to look at, other than the rockcrawling exhibition area.

I'll be there from Thursday night to Saturday night. Not sure if I can get you in, but PM me your phone number and I'll see what I can do.

Ryan,

Thanks for the offer but I was able to register for the event and willl have proper credentials! If you're driving in, bunch of us will be hitting the Badlands ORV on Sunday. Sure you can't stay one more day?

Ali

Na, I'm flying in from Wichita for work.

We fly out Saturday night. I'd love to stay, but the tickets are already bought, and I can't miss a friends yearly Super Bowl party on Sunday.

Thanks for the offer, though!

I'm looking forward to eating that fat ribeye at St. Elmo's, especially since it's on the company dime. Mmmmmmmm....!

i don't think sema's ever done a public showing...say hi to the tlca folks while you're there though

I attended some SEMA IAS (Import Auto Salon) show at the Long Beach convention center a couple of years ago that was industry the first day, then open to public on the second.

But that's the only one I've ever been to or even heard of, understandably so.

SEMA in Vegas is enough of a madhouse as it is; I couldn't imagine there being more people walking around.

Hey Ryan and Ali,
Rumnor has it the Cruiser brigade is putting something together after the show on Friday (I think). I got wind of it via our past president, anyway, be sure and come find me and I'll make sure you get the connection. That assumes you need my help..........

I saw on the reg page that Race teams are eligible, so that may work for some of you. I have no idea how the non industry guys are getting in but have seen several posts of people that are planning to attend.

Well, I'm in the industry (well, the company I work for is anyhow). I'm flying out Thursday morning to help set up the booth, then "working" the trade show Friday and Saturday.
