I'm buying my father's 80 and selling Rhea's. I thought I would offer it up to the club before I put in the for sale section.

It is a black 1995 with a tan interior, 128k and no lockers, and I'm looking to get $8k.

I bought it from a Mud member and had it shipped from Florida. It has recently had the head gasket replaced, the power steering pump rebuilt, the starter rebuilt, a new water pump installed, new o-ring for the distributor, new heater hoses behind the head installed, new drive belts, new pesky heater hose, new fuel filter, injectors cleaned, and the heater pipes coated with POR-15 as can be seen here https://forum.ih8mud.com/va-dc-md-c...32-fzj80-overheating-again-2.html#post7103757. The head was decked and new valve seals were installed as well.

The previous owner had put on new front calipers, reupholstered the front seats, and added aftermarket tint.

It also has a factory roof rack, moon roof, tow hitch, trailer brake controller, and seven pin trailer hook up. It has an aftermarket stereo system with tweeters in the a-pillars, Kicker speakers in the front doors and Alpine speakers in rear doors.

There is minimal rust on the truck -- some surface rust in a few places on the frame and a two small spots on the body where a brush guard had made contact. The body is not cosmetically perfect with several dings and chips but it is sound.

The only things that I can think of that do not work are the antenna, which will have to be replaced, and the spare tire is the original and will not hold air.

I have yet to take photos but will post them as soon as I do.

solid truck

You forgot to list the new radiator, its only a year old. If you cant sell it i will drive it around for you to help keep it fresh.:steer:

Any bites on your 80-series?
Guys, I need your input. I am SELLING my 80 as well. Any idea of ballpark pricing I should be looking at / expecting?? I know I'll be totally upside down on price, but wanted your input.
Unfortunately for the 80, but looking to do a slow-build on a 60-series. Also, have an '05 diesel Excursion on it's way to me from MN. More room than the 80 for an expanding family & the arrival of an American Mastiff pup w/in the next few weeks.
Silly Excursion obviously won't be a trail truck (beach-only w/ an OME suspsension etc.), but the 60 sure as hell will be.
Thanks in advance for all of your input!

I did manage to sell it, but yours is a completely different beast. Mine was bone stock.

I don't know what mileage you have or what kind of cosmetic condition your truck is is, but you have a lot of money in goodies on it.

CAHarris: I sold my 1997 LX450 with 160K on the odometer, HG, PHH, H2O pump & timing done @ 100K, Borla SS exhaust, F/R lockers, 7 pin mod and center diff switch, Kaymar rear bumper, ARB front, 12K warn winch, OME 2.5" medium lift with spacers and zero rust for $8500.
Might have been able to hold out for $9K, but didn't want to be greedy.

What warranted the timing CHAIN replacement at 100k?:hhmm:
Never heard of any failing...

whoa! way cool, one of those was on my list before i bought my '80, but in VA i couldn't find one for under $29k...

good to know the 60 will be in your future my man. would love to see your diesel excursion too, that will be a beach tank for sure.

as far as what you could get, i bought mine for $8900 (had factory lockers, front bar, rear bumper, rack, regeared) before i added caster correction, new starter, new ps pump, ipor belly plate, ipor sliders, m12000 winch, lightforce lights. i figured based on what i'd seen in the DC market this was about $1k lower (it was an LA truck sooo many are out in southern cali) so i had it shipped. If you're looking to sell the rack awning, let me know but i figure you'll move that to your excursion...
