Section of Skid Plate Missing

Well, while changing my oil for the first time (myself), we discovered that the center portion of my skid plate (the part that covers the oil drain plug) is missing. Probably left off by some grease monkey 10 years ago. Would y'all replace it or just leave it off? Any idea how much that one section would run (if it can even be bought by itself)?

You can have mine. It's off my 2002 and it's in ok shape. Replaced it with Slee skids. I'm in San Diego

It helps keep mud out of the engine compartment and off of other components. Other than that, it offers zero protection.

Seems like the general consensus is DO NOT DRIVE your cruiser without this piece

mine never had it ...so not sure if fell off or was left off. wont replace....will just go with aftermarket skids later.

Mine is a diesel and the hatch over the sump plug is about 6x4 inches. I threw mine away years ago after something went wrong with the thread on the securing bolt if I remember correctly.
Don't give it a second's thought.

Skid Plates

Greetings!

I replaced all of my OEM skid plates on my 2007 with skid plates from Slee. If somebody needs them, they are available. Only glitch is that I am away on business and will not be back home until early December.

Is Onur a mud vendor? I'd like to get one a plug cover. I've been missing my drain plug cover ever since I've had it but never bothered with it because dealer wanted an arm and a leg for it.

He personally is not. The dealership (Lowe Toyota, Warner Robbins, GA) is. I ordered one from Sam, I never picked it up so he may have it sitting on his desk somewhere.

Can dealers get these parts? I was going to call CruiserDan for some plugs and other misc parts, perhaps I'll inquire to him...other ones got snatched up on here before I could reply..

Both of mine were missing and I ordered replacements. Don't forget the bolts and screws to attach them.
