Is there anybody who has modified the back of the front seat to allow the second row passenger space for their toes to fit under the driver or front row seat?

I normally drive, but on family trips, my newly minted teenage son is starting to complain. In addition, I can't even really comfortably sit in the second row because of knee arthritis and inability to flex knee sufficiently.

What is under the front row seats that prevent this modification, if any?

In the '15, is there a fore/aft adjustment for the second row? Would that help? Under the front seats in my '17, there is nothing removable, the only toe space adjustment is using the seat controls to raise the entire seat and that may not give the driver a comfortable position in your case?

must have long legs or big feet. But, I understand what his complaint. Nobody wants squished feet. Can he sit in the third row and fold the second row seat forward?

The 2015 does not move fore aft but it does manually angle the seat back. Unfortunately this is not enough to help with seat position. If the 2017 has ability to move the seat itself, maybe I can move it manually.

Not a 200 but this may solve the problem.

They should... I've got a 2008 and I can slide 2nd row forward and backwards enough to make a big difference on leg room

same with my 2013, pull the lever under the seat in the 2nd row and slide forward and back. Makes a big difference in leg room and a small difference in cargo room by putting all the way forward.

I'm pretty sure your second row seats can be adjusted fore/aft by about 4 inches - the seats in my 2013 certainly can.

The release lever is under the front of the seats - one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side. Feel around down there and you should find it.

Yeah there's a ton of room in the 2nd row. The LXs have a button on the side to allow for movement forward/back.

I just checked again. There is a manual lever in the middle that does allow me to move it forward and backward. Unfortunately, it was already in the position in the back. Hence, I need some more room. Will look more closely at the bottom of the driver seat as well
