This is a Lexus seat that clearly shows the two ventilator fan assemblies. The bottom one is just inboard of the seat centerline and easily visible and reached from the front, when the seat is raised up all the way.

The bottom screens on mine were perfectly clean at 91k miles, you can't get to the seat back units easily. Mine have very fine wire mesh screens, finer than a home window screen, unlike the big grill in the video.

It would be very easy to vacuum off accumulated lint or hair with a small tube attached to a shop vac.

I haven't found any tech info on the ventilators. Can someone post a link? Do experienced Toyota techs ever clean these things?

Anyone dare to get the wiring diagram for one of these seats???

I'm thinking a two day access to TIS to get diagrams of 08 seats, 13 seats and 07-10 lexus LS460 seats.

For all you tall guys looking for more adjustability the LS looks like the way to go.

I'm hoping, a climate control switch from 13 cruiser, plus the seat with control module and franken-wired harness will yield adjustable ventilated seats in an 08 cruiser.

Ventilated seats are the thing I miss the most when I drive my 08LC. If someone with the chops can figure out how to install that feature in an 08, I'll name my third-born child whatever their screen name is.

there is a guy on the lexus forums that swapped an ISF seat into a GS. Said the wiring diagrams were 10 pages long, and his didn't have venitillation. ProjectGS: My GS-F Build Thread - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion

if it gets done here, it will be a collaborative effort.

Unless there is a programming/communication guru that also can weld?

I second this.....although I'm not planning to have more kids so you'll have to settle for a hamster or goldfish....oh, and you'll have to convince one of my kids that their dad made a binding contractual agreement to give you the right to name their new pet.....
