Living in the Past
SILVER Star
If you are not concerned about being 100% original the later post 63 seats are much nicer. I pulled the 71 seats out of my 25 thinking I was selling it. I planned to put the aftermarket seat that were in it when I bought it back in. Now not sure what I'm doing. As for moving the J hooks I parked out a 71 that had aftermarket seats mount to the factory bases. I use that base to move the J hooks on keeping the original base stock. The set of 64 seats I have the driver's seat has a piece of square tubing adding to the front eadge along the bottom of the frame. If you use the earlier taller seat brackets you might think of doing something like this to level the later seat out.
