i like those seat covers, but i wish the fit was better. Im not a fan of the elastic on the bottom, especially on the head covers, i'd rather have more of a snug fit.

i'll email them and see if they can change a few things. Overall i really like them

Yes it's true they are a little loose. BTW they are held in place with a (somewhat complicated) series of straps made of the same canvas that you tie.

This probably won't help anyone here, but in Kenya there's a company called Sandstorm who make custom safari-style car seat covers in thick canvas and leather:

be careful as that is the reason the ones I was looking at through Equipt would not work....apparently the South African Land Cruiser seats are not close enough to the USA to work...not sure if it is in controls, airbags, mounts or design. That is why they are not yet offered in states...

Any of you SOR Tuff Duck guys have any new reservations or insights? I'm tired of the kids trashing my good 2nd row leather with goldfish crumbs... and my efforts to quell that through strategically placed dog blankets are failing. these SOR covers look pretty decent and should yield 4-5 years? By then hopefully we've learned to chew with our mouths closed. :)

IMO seat covers look terrible - going with the distressed leather look is old school and vintage.

I've had the SOR covers for about seven months. Do a great job and will last a long time. Not as bad in the summer as expected either. Really like them and they will protect your leather from kids and dogs. Hard to get the covers on the head rests but just have to keep mashing and mashing until you do.
If you have a dog be sure pick your color wisely. I got the dark brown and have a yellow lab. Look really bad after a long ride. Takes 30-40 minutes to vaccuum off the hair.

These are the best covers found yet. I like the looks of the one's mentioned above but their fit is terrible.

Anyone else with long term results they can post?

maybe not cheap, but SOR looks pretty decent http://www.sor.com/sor/cat309h.tam?xax=24602

Def not cheap, but looked pretty good. I just ordered a set and hopefully these will keep the leather from burning up in the hot desert sun out here in the southwest and maybe eliminate some of the leather squeak going on in the back seat.

Anyone else with SOR that they've had for a while care to comment on the quality over time?
