can some one clue me in on the name and maybe part number
for the toyota sealant that they use on the transfer case. You know the
sealant that cures in the absence of oxygen.

Cdan can get you all the engine and transaxle sealant you need.

The transaxle case sealant Toyota Seal Packing 1281 (FIPG) P/N 00295-01281
The engine sealant Toy Seal Packing 102 (FIPG) P/N 00295-00102

00295-00102-is replaced by 00295-00103. It is the same stuff in a slightly smaller tube and a bit less money. The 00295-00103 is black and the 00295-01281 is orange.

Hi Cruiser Dan
I need some help, I am feeling the pull off easy access parts for other engines. I am making a third trip into Anchorage and now need to produce my reciept as they seem to have no record of me paying. But the parts dept has dealt with me for some time and NEVER ordered me a part without paying up front. O well.
Desperetly seeking sources

I can ship UPS air to AK. Second day is going to be less money. How much fuel you burn on a round-trip to Anchorage and what is the cost?

Can anyone describe the differences between the two Toyota FIPG sealents? It would be useful to know which applications each is best suited for. The names "transaxle case sealant 1281" and "engine sealant 103" are a bit cryptic. I'm rebuilding the FJ60 and it would be oh-so-nice to put it back together without the leaks. (If I wanted a truck that leaked I would have bought a Land Rover.)

Thanks,

David

Black FIPG is used for the motor (oil pan, timing cover, etc.). Use the black stuff for your 2F.
