Alright, so I'm stoked on the lift so far. It handled the trail pretty well, even after the trail had further washed out after these last rains. Only damage was a broken bracket that secures the tailpipe in the back, but a simple weld or new bracket should fix that. Without the lift, my fenders and wheel wells would have been pretty torn up. I'm looking forward to getting out to Borrego and wheeling with you guys. Sounds like a fun quick trip.

I forgot the camera on the shakedown run for some trail shots, but I do have a before and after.

See you guys in a few weeks.

WOW...

What a great looking ride... The lift looks fantastic. The tires give it a very aggressive look too. Good Job. Cant wait to see it in person on the 4th.

Fingers crossed...
I put in for that day off. We'll see what happens.

:D

A week and a half left!!!

Man, I am looking so forward to the 4th... I hope many more can make it.

See you all on the trail.:steer:

Meeting Time & Details

So, here are some details:

Meeting place: xmas tree circle in the town of borrego springs
Time: 10am

We will then head to the trail after then. I don't forsee doing any other trails other than the coyote canyon trail, lower willows area. If anybody wants to gather their own group after and do a night run or ? I will leave it up to others. I plan to only do the day run and go home.

Bring the basic stuff, first aid, safety gear, tow strap, plenty of water, lunch, airing down is not critical on this trail but I always do as it just makes it much more comfortable of a ride. If you have a cb, bring it, we will need one up front and one in the rear to communicate.

my other club, geared 4 fun will be out there as well as many other people, it usually gets crowded, especially in the springtime.

see you all there, my info if any of you have questions, I don't have a cell, so this is a home #: 858-605-5943 or 73guppie@gmail.com

View from above...

I just thought I would look on google to see if getting there would be hard... It would take some work to get lost. Here is a Google Earth View of Borrego Springs and Christmas Tree Circle.

Enjoy!

Noah,

I may be joining you guys at some point on the trail. I may be camping over at Truckhaven with some friends and may have to cruise on over.

Tim

Probably going to need to ride with one of you knuckle heads since my entire rig is torn apart...Shane, Dom anyone going over from the North County beach area.

Hey Dudes!
I really want to go, but shouldn't because I have so much other stuff going on, but I'm gonna do it!

Is anyone else going, other than you guys that have piped-up so far?
How about Tom in CV? Are you good-to-go Elwin? I'd say lets caravan, but I might have to take it slow up the hill. I still don't have my big radiator fan in yet

Looking forward to it guys!
Brian.

Hey Brian and All-
I have not piped in due to the fact that I have not even seen my cruiser in the past 3 weeks :-(( Life has been crazy as ever but I can actually make it, but won't be able to take my 40. Brian if you need a co-pilot let me know.

Hey Tom!
That would be great if you could go. You are welcome to ride with me but I already have a co-pilot. Wish I had shotgun available for you. There is a back seat for ya though!

Whats up with your Cruiser? Not up for the trip? Like I said, I might be taking it slow, so we could nurse the rigs along. That'd be half the adventure. :D

Yesterday I had a general bolt check on the cruiser, to get ready for the 4th.

All my body mount bolts needed a good turning, as they are 4 months from original install and have settled some, but the scary bit was that my right front rear leaf spring pin was very very loose. Must of lost it's seat when I rolled it, and have been loosing up ever since. I also had to put a couple tack welds on the seam of the cowl, on the outside lip of the door jam. Today is touch up painting, for where the welding pealed the paint off.:wrench::wrench:

Thanks for the offer Brian but gonna pass- Is this trip only for local 40's or is my brothers 4runner or Tundra welcome to tag along??? My 40 is still needing a thermostat and brake adjustment before I take it that far...
