Lifelong admirer of Land Cruisers here, got a new LC100 back in 2000, planning to keep it forever! It's stock, except for a Kenwood DNX7100 head unit with GPS/backup cam and aftermarket Focal ICU 165 speakers (big improvement, even with the loss of the subwoofer). ih8mud is my go-to place for anything about the LC100 and trucks in general. Great people, great discussions, and many pleasant hours/days spent here!

The truck has only ~90K miles, but given its age, I'm slowly working my way through a mild refresh of some rubber parts as well as bearings from which grease has liquified and leaked out. So, I recently replaced the five transmission oil cooler hoses, using Toyota parts. Four of the hoses are available, but one, P/N 32941-60190 that connects to the left side A/T cooler port at the bottom of the radiator, isn't available so I used 32941-60290 instead, which I cut to size since it is 1" longer.

The new Toyota hoses have some strange scruff marks; I haven't seen these before and the old hoses don't have such marks. What could these be? I got some of the hoses from an online Toyota parts seller that's highly respected on this forum, and some from a local dealer. Both sets show similar scruff marks, as shown in the pics.

Are the marks reason for concern? I'm not sure what to do next--if I buy a new set of hoses from a Toyota dealer, chances are they would have similar scruff marks. Is there any way to pressure-test these hoses and the entire AT oil cooling system, something similar to the radiator pressure test for the main cooling system, for peace of mind?

Thanks in advance!
