Was just browsing CL looking for some seats and strolled across a set of 4x6 Cibie H1's, brand new in the box for $55 for the pair!! Paid with PP and he will be shipping them tomorrow! I'm stoked. Now just have to pick a harness, but may have to wait a week or two as money is a bit tight. I just couldn't afford NOT to pick these up at that price. :steer:

Too bad I just spent $44 on those Silverstars 3 weeks ago.

Up for grabs to first offer: 3 week old Silverstars!

Agreed. One thing at a time.

Good find. I'll be going with Cibie's for my next pair of fog lights, and likely for the driving lights as well. Dan Stern really likes them, but recommends (for my driving conditions anyway) Hella H1s and Bosch H4s (with upgraded wiring of course) for a 62's headlights. I may put 7" round Cibie's in my Duster though. Still up in the air on that one.

And I'd just throw away those Silverstars. They blow goats. Not even half as bright as the Osram H4 65/70W bulbs I've used before (and will be ordering again).

The Silverstars I just put in recently because one of the old halogens went t!ts up on me. Just thought I'd give them a try as a "bolt in" upgrade, as I wasn't ready to spend the money on a h1/h4 conversion. Now I came across these so they're going in once I get them and get a wiring harness. One of the members here was making and selling custom harness, but I can't remember who it was. Guess I will search. And for the Silverstars, there was a noticeable improvement over standard halogens, but they still weren't great. I obvioiusly won't be using them once I put these in.

Check the sig in the first reply in this thread :D

nice find, oh and why dont you just mount up both pairs of lights???

Little confusion on my part. I realize now after researching more that the H1's replace the high beams, I need H4's to replace the lows, which is where the SS's are now. I had it backwards in my own head. Probably won't put the H1's in until I get the 4's, just due them both at the same time.
