...year old mother of mine, that is. My old maw is coming in to town to see some desert flowers and her grand-dogs next weekend. So, its gonna be wheeling FJ/Superior area Friday, Saturday, or Sunday - or maybe Friday and Sunday - or Friday and Saturday...:hhmm:

I'm thinking of getting lost:steer: either around Telegraph Canyon from Superior with the intent of exiting via the Box Canyon or going in to Martinez from Cottonwood Canyon Rd and exiting the Box Canyon. That's one day, if I do a second, then that's another story...more details to come/change.

So, if any interest, post up:grinpimp:.

Carl, Montana Mountain loop (28 miles) is a mild and very scenic trail for out-of town guest. If you looking for suggestions.

Thanks, Phil. I've done that and that loop and it is under consideration. She's done some wheeling with me in the last 18 years here and in So Cal, and knows what she's in for - and she'll love the box.

The plan for Friday, is to meet at Bashas in Gold Canyon (time yet to be determined) and run Martinez/Box. Post up if your interested.

Howdy! Yup, I'm interested. Who all is in on this? Won't be any traffic on the U.S. 60 for the Ren Fair like on Sat and Sun. John

Oops. This the same weekend as the Chiva cleanup, huh?
If I'm going anywhere this weekend, it's gonna be there.
Plus, I'll still be @ work Friday.

Yep, I would like to make Chiva, but have other commitments on Sat and the boss was nice enough to let me off work on Friday!:D

As far as I know, just Carl and I. Haven't heard from him today, so going to call the meet time 9AM at Bashas in Gold Canyon.

I spoke to Brother Rob last night, he's gonna try and join us. Is that 09:00 for John or me? What time is my target?

Howdy! You should aim for around 7 0r 8. Either way, you'll beat me, cause I won't be able to make it. Better luck next time, huh?? John

Great day for "Moms on the trails"! Perfect weather, the desert is green, poppies blooming and a little water in the washes. Anyways, on the the important part, pix!

Thanks, Kevin!

Great photos - I haven't even looked at mine much less downloaded from the camera. It was a great day, wore me out - it was over 13 hours from door to door. My mother had a blast and enjoyed the company. Tomorrow I think were gonna do an easy run down Bloody Basin Rd and into Cave Creek before she catches the red eye to DC.

Carl

Did you have a good run today?

Mom came over and snagged the pix from her camera. She got a couple of good ones, including a couple of my "invisible to cameras" junk!:D

We had a great day - weather was specatcular and Table Mesa has changed majorly in the last 2 years. not graded, some good size washouts, rock gardens, and longer than I remembered. Plus there was a good amount of running streams. Ran into three 80's and a mini from AZLCA out for the day. They stopped me as I was about to drive down a washout in to the river - I thought they were warning me, but they just wanted photos! Anyway, I didn't get many pix but here are some - first from Friday's run the Patterson trio, Rob negotiating the boulders around "Paint Rock" and Rob in the Box.
