I'm planning a road trip for next june/july through Colorado and Arizona on my way to Las Vegas. What I'm looking for is some info on places I should visit north of say I-40. I'm gona be driving a 100 on 35's but I'm gona have abt 4/5 people with me and they're not into the technical side of offroading so to appease the masses I'm looking for the more light scenic trails. Any ideas would help me get started on my internet search...need a shove in the right direction. Thanks in advance for all who help.

Just east of Flagstaff is the most unknown spectacular of AZ IMO...GRAND FALLS LINK is a short dirt road north of I-40 to the falls. After a rain storm the 190' Falls are violent with power and not to be missed. Most people who live in AZ have never seen or heard about the falls.

To add a little adventure you can also access the Falls through Sunset Crater NP.

sounds great Phil!

The Arizona Strip has some stuff to see. South of St George you can go to Tuweep aka Vulcan's Throne, a truely spectacular view. You can also drive below the rim a little ways south of the Bar 10 Ranch. You can hike down to the Colorado River.

The river is not so grand, but Tuweep is, even if it is a sidetrack of the better part of a day IMHO

Here are a few spots I found on another website. Would you guys give your opinion? Coconino Rim Trail, Hull Cabin Trail, Locket Meadow, Grandview Lookout, Hualapai Mountains, Flag Mine Trail, Sycamore Point, White Horse Loop Trail
