Received and installed my new SCII yesterday. Slick little item. I installed it right above the ignition switch. I'll take pics tonight.

Question - I have the "Maint" light coming on (not the "Check Engine"). I thought a SCII would have the ability to reset that light as well as the Check Engine - but it seems it doesn't - am I wrong? I hit "Scan" and it returns "No Codes Found." In the manual it says the Scan and Reset is for DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) - I guess the "Maint" light is just an irritating warning light and technically not really a Trouble Code such as the Check Engine??

Kind of a rhetorical question and even a "heads up" for others that want to clear that pesky "Maint" light.

Someone PLEASE tell me I'm wrong!! :grinpimp:

on our LS430 I reset the maint light by fooling with the trip buttons and turning the car on? you dont need a scanner to turn that off.

did you say "Fooling with her buttons and turning her on?" Loud, you sly dog!!!

Ah, I think I've heard that- do you know the special sequence to reset it?

I'd be nice if the scanner did that, but it will be more useful for the real trouble codes...

To think thats my moms car....you're gross.

I just called the dealer and had em tell me how to do it over the phone, my mechanic remembered, I forgot. It could be hold the reset button down while turning the car on, but the trip display has to show the ODO, IIRC.

uh, ya - sorry - that is bad...

anyway - will give that a try... thanks

Did it last night - worked great....
