Satellite Radio Volume vs Regular Radio Volume

i'm sure it's been asked, but does anyone else notice the big volume difference between regular radio and satellite radio?

no doubt about it, i have had it in 2 toyotas and my mini and there is a substantial difference, the sat is always on the low end...........no clue why but it always is

I think it is a Toyota/head unit problem.

My wife has sirius in her BMW and it sounds awesome.

i've had a bmw too and the satellite radio was spot on. no real difference in volume. the GX satellite just basically blows unless you really crank it....but then it's too loud and harsh to enjoy. i've actually cancelled my subscription a few times because of it. Then signed up again because i missed the variety. It's a vicious cycle. haha.

My after market is awesome in the GX.

i don't think i can do aftermarket. I have an '08 so the climate controls are part of the head unit.
