I don't know anything about that particular 62, but here are some random thoughts...

White cars are notoriously difficult to judge condition in pictures.
Interior looks consistent with the stated miles.
If you are seriously considering this rig, buy a Carfax report even if it reveals nothing more than where it has spent its 32 years.
If it has accumulated miles in the Northeast for more than a couple of years... be concerned about rust.
Don't expect the auction house to give you any meaningful information. It's not their job. And it's very likely that they haven't even seen the vehicle yet. And they certainly aren't going to put you in touch with the consignor prior to the auction.
The Estimate of $16-20K would be very low if this rig is really clean.
New aftermarket wheels on a classic rig like that will always make me suspect that the OE chromes were too rusty to leave on it for sale.

If you're a serious buyer, may I suggest flying there for the weekend? It's a beautiful region to visit this time of year, the leaves are probably about to pop. A $750 weekend is cheap piece of mind when buying a 30 year old truck for $20k.

If that’s a rust belt truck, they did a dang good job of replacing every single hose clamp and bracket under the hood. I’m guessing it didn’t get driven in salt.

Agreed. Plus, Saratoga has a lot of folks with money -- it's not hard to find pristine vintage autos there.

Thanks for the helpful information. You've given me some food for thought. I'll probably need to wait for one to come available closer to home.
