Took the fj out to do a little wheelin today. It handled real well and is considerably less noisy than the old fj40. It was a lot of fun in the new snow we got this morning. So i'm cruising along (no pun intended) and guess who shows up - My brother is in town from Boise and my wife tells him I'm wheelin, so he comes out and tracks me down. Good looking pair of FJs I think. We bought them the same day. They are pretty much identical, except his is a manual and mine automatic. We could have mixed up the color, but we both liked Sandstorm the best so what are you gonna do.

Not the best pics, but i only had my cell phone camera with me. Anyone else in Utah have a Sandstorm FJ? I had to go to Boise for mine - still haven't seen one in Utah yet.

Awesome color. I've been hoping to see one in person. It's not metallic right? Looks kind of like the FJ60 sahara beige.

Thanks, I've been waiting for them to come out with a color like this - more like the classic FJ's. It is not metallic. I was a bit worried as I bought it without seeing it. Just took my bro's word that it looked good. Looks better in person I think and yes, i think it is a lot like the fj60 color.

I wanted one in that color when I bought mine in burgundy. However, I needed a new daily driver at the time and couldn't wait any longer. Well, at least I got a nice new FJ anyway :D

Hello fellow Sand Storm owners. I thought this would be a good place to introduce myself since I have a Sand Storm. I have the off road package, but plan to mod it as time goes by. I bought it in the middle of July and have over 4 k miles on it. I really like the color, I think it looks natural in any outdoor surroundings.
I look forward to doing some snow wheelin in it. This forum has a lot of great information on it and came highly recommended. The two SS FJC's look great together. I've had a great time wheelin mine and recently got to wheel with the Toyota Trail Team. Wheelin on sand, mud and on the trails puts a giant smile on my face. BTW, here's my '76 FJ 40 on Gold Camp Road Circa 1980's.

I thought the same thing when I saw yours. Here's my Sand Storm.

dang, why do cruisers have to be so cool - i need an FJ55 like the one next to you there. Well, need might be a stretch... but i've always wanted one.

yeah if you get enough mud on there it's pretty much sandstorm.

I saw a Sand Storm in person for the first time today - without a doubt my favorite.

I always wanted an FJ 45. But then again a Landcruiser firetruck would be the ultimate. Oh man I can see it now, 4 wheelin with a siren. Sha weat!

Who's piggy is that? I find that an FJ Cruiser and an FJ 55 live together very well. Granted, neither one of mine is sandstorm, but I do love the color and if I was buying another one, that would be the color of choice.

Here's my non-sandstorm FJC helping it's MUCH older sister to the body shop for some rust repair and some new paint!

yep. i need an fj55. one of these days. FJ45 would be cool to - my bro had an fj45 when he was 17, it was sweet.

I do like having a cruiser that is new with all the modern conveniences like air bags, cruise and all that. But the old Classics are hard to beat.

Very nice to see our grandpa. Classics never go out of style. Thanks.

Man o man, I come in here to marvel at the latest and greatest Toyota offering, and here I am drooling over trucks twice my age! Gotta love it!

They do make cute couples :D My wife says they are boyfriend and girlfriend.
