Sand Flag Mounting (1 Viewer)

I know this isn't as hard as it seems but wanted to see some examples of how and where some have mounted their sand flags.

No pics, but I once clamped the flag to the factory roof rack before I removed it. Now I clamp it to the third row seat bracket and run it through the sliding window. I know it's ghetto, but it works until I build or buy bumpers. The clamp I use is a simple CB antenna clamp available at most truck stops and CB shops for under $5.

If you're asking because of SnT, you aren't 'required' to have one on your 80. For saftey or personal reasons yes, but Oceano Dunes does not require one of your street legal vehicle (at least in past years). Hope all is well behind the redwood curtain my friend. New job working out ok? Damn glad I don't have to make that drive up there to Humbolt State! Sonoma State is far enough!!

I cracked open the slider and stuck in through the window and I used a bungee cord from my roof rack to secure the top of the flag.

(this was taken one week after I bought this cruiser- Good Times!)

mine is on a 4ft wilson superflex on the roof rack but some 40 guys I know (Goob) will put them on any antenna sticking up high enough... er..

Just a few bolts to get the plastic corner piece off the rear bumper. I added the threaded sleeve for my flag to the top of the mount for the corner piece. You'll see the two larger holes on the top. I still had to open one of the holes up a tiny bit, but it worked great.

I used a custom tennis ball to keep the fiberglass mast from smacking into the tailgate all day.

4/10's - nice! Had a department we put on 4/10's and after a couple of weeks adjusting to the longer day, they all loved it!

Don't hurt the j**ps at Samoa Dunes and have fun.

started out by clamping a fiberglass rod flag on the rear OEM bumper. Very funky.
The I made a threaded rod assembly that I bolted to the front ARB bumper. Very nice.
But that's cuz I like to tinker. Otherwise, $10 for a generic flag mount clamp in an ATV parts store and $10 for the flag and you're set just about anywhere on the truck.
A CB antenna mount may also work and be readily available.
