As some of you saw in some recent pics I shared, I'm selling the "Plum Cruiser" (Build thread)
2003 Toyota Land Cruiser. Black Garnet Pearl. ~189,000 miles. California car with zero rust
Asking $20,000 OBO
I have only owned it for 2 years, and I intended for this to be my forever car, but my dream white 2006 popped up that I couldn't pass up.
I'll try and list everything here but I'm happy to answer any questions
Recent maintenance:
169,000 miles
- Timing belt and water pump service
176,000 miles
- new cats - $3,600 (previous owner got them stolen and replaced the entire system with new OEM equipment)
- fresh fluid in diffs and T case
- brake fluid flush and bleed
- New heater T's
184,000
- New OEM CV axle
- new drive belts
Modifications:
- Icon shocks
- OME 2.5" lift rear springs
- ARB Deluxe bumper with fog light kit
- LED spot lights wired to a factory looking switch on the left side dash
- Eezi-Awn K9 roof rails (aluminum, adjustable, lightweight, and held my 150 lb roof tent with ease)
- SS brake lines (this thing has the best feeling brakes of the 3 100 series I have owned)
I've now owned 3 100 series Land Cruisers so I'm confident I've kept on top of all the normal issues including keeping the wheel bearings greased and adjusted, driveshafts lubricated and all that. The brakes feel great and the ABS / master cylinder operates as it should.
The car drives beautifully and we just completed our last 1,000 mile trip without a single hiccup. Not to be cliche, but I would happily drive it to New York tomorrow.
I like to think I've kept it in great shape, but it's not a museum piece. The paint has some light scratches here and there from bushes. The paint on the roof is starting to fade a bit - or it got rubbed my a cover or something? I'm a stickler for clean interiors and this one is really nice. New front seat leather. The only thing that doesn't work is that the door lock actuators on the rear doors sometimes act up.
The last disclaimer I'll make is that when I bought my new 2006, I swapped wheels with this vehicle. This is why the wheels and tires are different in my build thread. The car comes with these Tundra wheels in really nice condition - BUT the tires (Duratracs) are pretty worn and noisy. Rather than throw some cheapies on there I figured I'd let the new owner buy their tires of choice.
$20,000 OBO. Happy to answer any questions or add extra pics!
