Would be great for the first week in Dec. I'm currently in Afghanistan and wil be home for 7 days.

I can't see why not....I mean this is less than ten miles from my house. Let's get our **** together. Maybe I'll teach the better half how to drive stick, so I can drink beer, and she can drive home! Chris, I have your Pelican case....call you this week. Maybe some dirt time this weekend? I KNOW there are people in SD with cruisers....I see you, come play!

Maybe we could even get a used/new toy drive going for the little ones who lost everything in the latest fires......
With a full work load at nights and Mr. Mom in the day...its tough for me to org. anyone with a little free time?
San Diego is great, and I see cruisers all the time and get waves, would be great to meet rust to rust

Dudes, I'm pretty busy right now. I'd love to get together sometime. There's 2 60's in our family. A really pretty brown one...and then there's mine. Weekends work best for me, though.

Even though I live in the SanFer Valley, I might be into a trip south-ish, maybe a trip into the Big Bear area? just thinking out loud here...
A friend and myself are down for a Saturday or something, we both live in Temecula and Murrieta. We both have 60's.
Anyone up for a get together weekend before Thanksgiving? Was thinking we could have a how ya doing byo BBQ.... at Fiesta Island. Seeing as there really are no clubs in San Diego... it would be cool just to get together and swap lies
We could all meet in Idylwild or somewhere up in the mountains.

Any ideas for place to meet? I have been super busy this week....except for yesterday...yesterday I went surfing. Seems like some SD, some northern SD (Temecula...) and Some farther north. I have a rover buddy that wanted to go to Coyote Canyon on Sat... I guess it would be cool if we could find a place with at least some dirt-trail action. I am not at all familiar with trails, but it seems like if would be cool if we could get a group of people and spend the day? Idyllwild or Big bear...I don't know anything about it...but it sounds good. I guess this is this weekend...how time flies when you are not doing anything fun. Dave. Should we move this into a more general category? there are lots of 80 people too

The Fiesta Island get together sounds great, in the meantime, we are going to camp out in Anza-Borrego this coming weekend at a place we call 'Camp Freedom". We are staying at the A/B state park on friday 11/30; then get up; eat breakfast at that quanset hut lookin thing past Christmas tree circle on the N/side of the road (Carlee's don't open till 1100hrs.) then head out to the camp. East Hwy S-22 to N/B Hwy 86, exit Coombs Rd (grave wash), then back under highway W/B about 2 miles in wash. You'll see an American flag on the right side of the wash. Campin; shootin; drinkin; wheelin; then leave on Sunday. Send Pm if interested . I know, not a tech thread, but it started here so I posted here; someone can move it if they wish

Sounds fun, anyone still organizing? Sounds like a real date and place is getting lost in the shuffle.

you got that right. Someone have a little more time, to get this thing going? I was trying to something centrally located, the N. guys wanted to have it North, The S. guys wanted it South. We just (this last summer) returned to San Diego from a 6yr visit to Seattle. I know of many Cruisers in the local area whether they belong or visit this forum is another question. But would really like to get a club together for the people on in San Diego proper. Have been told there is a club in Escondido..But emailed them some time ago and got "well we sometimes" "and we dont really" and etc.
I guess I am really hoping for is a get together on weekend day, locally..even maybe just breakfast at Dennys and mabe spark a little interest in starting a club...or just a say "HEY"
I just moved back down from smelLA. I'll keep checking this thread to see if some interest pops up. I know "Beach N Toys" meets at the Chicken Pie Diner & Filling Station in San Marcos the 1st Tuesday of every month but haven't made it to any of their dinners yet. Fiesta Island sounded pretty easy and central for most of SD....at least we could all check out each others rides & maybe barbecue. Might be tough to organize around the holidays?
You should checkout the SoCal 80's in the "Clubhouse Corner". Organized runs, meet & greets, tech, chit chat, whatever.
