After weeks of discussion, I've convinced my wife to sell her 2005 100 Series and start driving my 2019 200 Series. We purchased this 100 Series on November 6, 2015 at a Lexus dealer in suburban Atlanta while we were on a road trip from our home in Texas. At the time, we were not in the market for a new truck, but our 1999 LX got hit by a semi at a gas station during our vacation, which totaled it. We lucked into finding this super-clean, accident-free 2005 a few days later at Nalley Lexus in Roswell, GA and snapped it up!
I am the second owner of this truck. The first owner lived in the Atlanta area and, as you can see from his service log below, he had it serviced at local Toyota dealers. It was pristine when we purchased it in 2015, and we have cared for it lovingly since. Our service log is below as well. The truck has been garaged since we bought it, and I believe it was garaged by the first owner judging from the quality of the paint even today.
Since we purchased it more than 9 years ago, there have been almost no mechanical issues. I had to replace one CV joint because the boot got torn, and the CD player in the center console doesn't work. Otherwise, we've had to do nothing other than routine maintenance, and I believe it is in 100% working condition (other than the CD player). This has been a terrific truck for our family, and we hate to see it go. But, last month I purchased a 2025 Silverado 2500 Duramax to tow our camper, and we don't need all these vehicles. So, my wife finally agreed to take my 2019 LC as her grocery getter and sell the 100.
We have added the following to the "Hundy", and it is all included in the sale:
The timing belt was changed at around 90,000 miles, so it's due again. The BFG KO2's have some life left, but I'd replace them in a year or so if we were keeping the truck.
We figured out how to use a cassette deck adapter connected to an iPhone to listen to Spotify, so the CD player being broken is irrelevant to us. The adapter is included with the sale.
This is a no rust, no smoking, no pets, no accidents vehicle. We'll miss it, but the next owner is getting a truck that's been super reliable.
We are asking $22,500 but are open to reasonable offers.
