For those of you who don’t know Sam, he is one of the clubs founding members and always willing to help when he could and hosted club picnics at his home.

Sam has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. It is very aggressive and has spread rapidly. They have chosen not to operate to make his last days as peaceful as possible.
Sam is in hospice and at peace with meeting his Lord in the coming days. Please pray for his wife Sandy and his family. They moved to Arizona, Sam’s home state, a few couple years back after retiring.

Please check this site for daily updates in lieu of calling or texting. And use this avenue to share any comments or words for Sam. It will help keep the communication more manageable.

Sam is a great guy. He has been and will be missed.

I enjoyed several runs with Sam and felt he was one of the kindest men I've known. Thoughts and Prayers to Sam and his family.
 
For those who haven’t seen, Sam Grivey passed away yesterday. Sandy said he went peacefully in his sleep.
He will be dearly missed.
