One of my friends just mated a Saginaw pump to his 3FE, and is very happy with the result. I'll ask permission to post the picture or ask him to post the picture himself.

According to him, yes. The reason he did the swap was that his pump was not working too well. He told me that to turn in very muddy conditions he had to rev up the truck. Now is working great. I imagine it feels like a Saginaw on a 2F, light. I will keep bugging him to post pictures.
