Hey guys when I bought my Bj42 it came with a safari snorkel on the drivers side.. My Question is there some tube I am missing to hook up to the passenger side? I can seem to find anything.. does anyone have a pic of their setup? Or do you hook up right direct to the inlet on the engine? But then I am running no air filter..

Thanks

Thanks a million.. but that is quite 180* elbow out of the air breather.. but that is exactly what i was looking for..

Man that is a waste of airflow. You would get better performance with less length and bends. If i was u i would find a length of flexy shop vac piping and plumb it straight in. Probably alot cheaper to. I saw one setup that used sani (rv) piping it clamped down nice so it was airtight.

I wonder why did Safari put a snorkel on that side? Are there any Aussie 40 series with an air cleaner on the left? Unlike ours, their 2F engines have an air cleaner on the right hand like the diesels.

That picture is what the link goes too.. I don't like the 180* elbow right off the airbox.. too tight..

I would have bought a snorkel for my BJ42 if they had only put the darn thing on the passenger side (US canada models, Left hand drive). But I agree with the way you are supposed to mount it why bother. Safari if you are listening please make one for the right hand side...I will buy one :)

Personally I don't see any issue with a bend unless it's restricting airflow. Otherwise I think it's fine.

you can follow the hose to the snorkle on our passenger side .. I agree that its wierd why you would have to plumb it way. I think the 2f snorkle is on the other side and also considered this. ended up going for the one for the 3b in the end as you can see..
