Okay, can I tempt (beer, bbq, stogies) anyone into wrenching with me? I am totally new to cruisers, have a completely disorganized garage situation right now, decent tools and mediocre abilities... I just got my intake/exhaust back from Cascar machine today and will be installing it, new freeze plug(s), timing gear gasket, oil pan gasket, tuneup items, etc... Starting tomorrow morning, hoping to finish by/on Saturday evening. One delay is parts/rings for exhaust man horns won't be in at Davis hanlees Toyota until Friday... I have everything else already.... Any help appreciated, thurs or Friday after work, Saturday, or if you're on days off, vaca like me, retired: anytime/wholetime!!

Let me know... Or just stop by, behind the house, in the alley... ;)

Get some decent beer maybe I'll come by...

Blue moon? Guinness? Pabst?

You get some decent beer and Pighead will be there Friday morning.

Ok ok, Pighead educated me on the area's cruiser head beer preferences, quality first, so, some Guinness, Newcastle, downtown brown, and ipa's will be on hand....

Pighead is, well, Pighead.

I've got the honeydew list going and prepping for next weekend or I'd be there. Good luck.

Need electrical help?
Pretty handy with a soldering iron, plus I got my full tool kit.
When's a good visitation time for Friday?

Also, I'm heading east from Santa Rosa, if you want me to swing by Mudrak's to grab anything, let me know!

Nothing too specific except I noticed the PO has some Jerry-rigged stuff in the fuse box I was going to address eventually and switch the radio power over to "acc" instead of "on", domes don't work and might just need bulbs but not sure...

I have enough to do under the hood that I will be on it all day today and prob tomorrow, so stop by anytime!! Pighead is showing around up around 10ish today...

Good news:
I found a whole bundle of donor wire and a whole bundle of heat-shrink tubing, I thought I was out.

On my way.

Great day of wrenching!! Can't thank the guys enough!! Thanks for showing a newbie around!! Got done: the timing cover gasket, oil pan gasket, intake/exhaust gasket, some misc hoses, and some bad ass wiring by combat chuck!!! And a whole bunch of learning my way around!!

And I'm gonna restock the ice chest for tomorrow so come on by!! (Pighead ;) )

That was a really fun day Aaron!
You have one of the cleanest early eighties rigs I've seen!
Here's the fuse block panel I was talking about:
Blue Sea 5034 ST Blade Fuse Block w/out Cover - 12 Circuit w/out Negative Bus
I like the look of it best of all the others I've seen, and I think they offer smaller ones if you only want a few.

If you're ever in the SR area, let me know, and I'll sling you some brisket!
(Same offer to you, Pighead!)
