RW and Proper Tire Size

Keep in mind that different wheel diameters could mean different tire availability. Before you decide on wheels, spend some time on the MANY tire threads on Mud and go to the Tire Rack site to find what tires (and their specs) are available in each wheel size that meet your needs. You’ll have choices of tire type, load rating, brand, looks, etc.

I run RWs on my 16’ LC with 285/70/17 BFGs and have zero clearance issues

Thank you! Will the 285/70R17 require any modifications? I don’t want to cut or remove anything. My truck is stock. Only mod I might make down the road is either Dobinson or BP-51’s. But, I’m not trying to go for lift. Just ride quality, and maybe remove a little rake.

I’m not well versed in the back story of the RW wheels. The gentleman above mentioned the 285/65R17 would be the comparable size to my stock wheels and tires. Just trying to gather all of this and learn.

The Rock Warrior and 285/70R17 is as good of a factory approved upgrade as it gets.

Those look great. They bolted right on? TPMS carried over no problems?
No issues there either. They need different lugs but other than that, good to go. I’d say go for it if you can find a decent set. I’m still looking for a 5th one as a spare.

The EVO corsa wheels are also a great option if you want a high quality wheel

Just different lug nuts?

Well, I thought I had some new Rock Warriors locked down from the dealer. Looks like they are all gone. I’m not sold on Hertitage wheels, so I might be keeping stock at this point.

So I ordered 42607-48010 TPMS's based on information from others about 16+ 200's. I have a set of RW's to throw on my 200 after the current tires wear out. Also based on what everyone says 285/70/17 is the way. I was talking to a tech at toyota last week and he has a 200 series with RW's in that size and said its as good as it gets. I feel these trucks are pretty damn capable out of the box and we haven't had any issues on our adventures.

Yeah, I was looking at getting the RW’s. Thought I had five lined up brand new. That didn’t happen.

xinfinite on rw.... I have 5 used complete wheels that might be selling soon.... located in Huntington Beach CA with new center caps....

Edit: never mind. 6 lug and no shipping.

285/70-17 - no issues on my 2017.. i have since added spacers and other stuff.. but they fit with the right lugl nuts, transfer your TPMS..

anyway..
i bought 2 sets since i am running a RW as a spare as well... something to think about if your getting wheels, there is a difference in size between stock and a RW with 285/70-17 (about 1")....

you really need 5 not 4 the sets typically come in.. thats why i have 2 sets of 4..

if your stock height, there are no downsides with 285/70-17 tires.

Lifted the offset requires spacers for bigger tires, so can be a downside, and i'm not fond of spacers.. and will probably change over to a method wheal soonish..

YMMV..

I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I might throw different shocks on, and maybe upgraded UCA’s. However, I want to keep stock height. Just got the run around from a guy with RW’s.

If you were closer I'd offer you a set of RWs. I think shipping will be too expensive. I'll list them in a few days after I clean them up. They currently have 285/70r17 toyo AT3s with about 10k miles on them.

Sent you a DM.

Shame there aren’t many solid options for lc200 wheels. Basically, it seems RW as number 1, or you look at the Heritage wheels if you like that look.
