Rutherford Beach Cleanup Project

I spoke to a Cameron Parish representative this morning about wanting to do a beach cleaning project at Rutherford beach in September. She thought she could get us the dumpsters and frontend loader needed for the trash but was going to call me back when she got approval to offer it and she was happy to hear we wanted to help. I spoke to JayCee Falcon about this at our BBQ event and he said he thought he could get buy in from the local Jeep Clubs to help and of course would help advertise it as well. I think this would be a great community project and its definitely needed out there. Our Scout Troop was out there in February planting trees and picking up trash but we hardly made a dent packing the trash out by hand. Is this something we'd be up for doing? I'll add this to our meeting agenda to discuss this Sunday

Thanks Mike I think it will be a good time. Doing a good community project to clean it up at least for a weekend and staying out there another day to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Its a tourist spot for shelling I know its hard to believe but we found a bucket of nice shells. My daughter has been asking me to take her so it will be bonus trip we'll plan to make a weekend of it
