I have some black marine paint lying around, you know the kind used to paint ships at sea?Thought of painting the underbody with thatHit it with Fluid Film once a year and it will outlast you.

so umm i shouldnt be worried till im dedyes, at this rate, it will rust in in 95 more years.
The amount of rust you have is very minimal. If you are concerned about it, fluid film or another brand can give you protection for a long time.so umm i shouldnt be worried till im ded, what about the rusted nut that hold the tailgate
Alright bro thanx for the info.Yep i'll just replace the bolt after just wiping it down.I agree with you completely.Thanx againThe amount of rust you have is very minimal. If you are concerned about it, fluid film or another brand can give you protection for a long time.
The bolt on the tailgate: you can remove and replace it, for a few $ if you want to. You might touch the body with some phosphoric acid to neutralize it. Afterwards, you can put some 2 part primer, paint, and clear too. Personally, I think you will be fine until your grand kids ask you what year your wagon is. What you have is surface rust that will literally wipe off.
I would use a lanolin product like Fluid Film that doesn’t trap moisture. Hard coatings on anything but a brand new vehicle just accelerates rust development. It may look great on the surface but the rust just continues under the paint / hard coatings.I have some black marine paint lying around, you know the kind used to paint ships at sea?Thought of painting the underbody with that
