My wife backed into a pole and some of paint on the hitch scraped off... I noticed rust on it.
Then I looked under the back bumper and saw a lil more and then saw a few spots In the chassis... Should I be worried about it? I'm planning on replacing the hitch and getting a wire brush. But nothing was mention during my pre-inspection.. I'm a little concerned

Granted it was its spent 4 yrs of its life in Wisconsin and the other 10 in dusty Grand Junction Colorado. I do need to clean it up to be sure.

It's 15 years old. I think a little rust like that shouldn't be of great concern. The rust on mine is much worse and I have zero worries. I'd be more worried to keep letting your wife drive your car.

I paint my whole frame and undercarriage every spring with rustoliem. It's never had any rust and never will. But mine is a Vegas cruiser and has never seen any snow/salt. I just really like the fact that it's bottom looks new :). Yours does not look that bad, wash it, paint it with rustoliem. Rust needs oxygen to spread. Clean it up and paint it, I use the hammer coat.
