New owner of LX700 and my first Body on Frame vehicle. I have heard rust is critical issue and wanted to get suggestion in what the best approach. I believe body is all aluminum and rust protection is only required for the under body.

I heard lot of good reviews about Krown.

I had great success with Fluid Film on all my Cruisers in the Northeast. Application is simple and lasts 4-6 months. Wool Wax is the newer product and seems to stick longer. A flexible hose with 360* spray can be used to hit all of the frame holes, then a liberal coating on the entire undercarriage (minus the exhaust) will get you protected for the season.

Thanks

Thanks. I had little bit concern due to hybrid setup. Also heard some of these treatments cause rubber partd to swell after the treatment.

Krown is great and cleanable. Fluid film the same concept. We use Waxoyl at my shop to undercoat frames of emergency vehicles. But if you wheel, it does hold the dirt.

I just had my 21, 200 dry ice blasted to clean the underside after 54,000 miles and 4 trips from NY to Colorado and a wee bit of trail fun. The Waxoyl came off and showed perfect frame paint under it. This time I hit it with Krown because while I hate mud, I like trails, a lot. And the Krown can be pressure-washed off easier and reapplied.

My $.02.

I live in the land of liquified truck disintegrator.
