Rust on Lower Body Near Lower Tailgate (1 Viewer)

Hey gang! Looking for some advice here.... as you can see in the pics there's a decent sized pocket of rust near my left rear bumper by the lower tailgate. Should I A) try and find someone to fix it, or B) just treat it myself?

And if you recommend option B, any advice for me? Thanks!

Looks like a shoddy repair job after an accident. looks like body filler too. Pull the rear bumper cover and see how bad it is. Luckily it's in a spot you won't see once it's fixed. If it were mine I'd DIY.

If you pull the outer tail light you'll be able to see down into the body a bit and see how much damage there is.

X2 on bad repair, the thickness of the bondo is a bad telltale sign

need to get all the bad repair off to see what you are dealing with.
