My plans might have just changed. My axles didn't come in like expected so if they do show up this week cross your fingers I can swap them and the housing with no issues. I'll keep y'all posted later in the week.

Made out to Ruby today. Certainly lots of snow still but very manageable. Most of the skeg is still frozen but will probably be a little soupier by next weekend. I suggest we camp at the Ruby Creek kiosk and take the river crossing in. There was less than a foot of water. We ran down to the creek and out to the second staging area just west of Small Boys. The creek was mostly open with flowing water.

It was much colder than expected so pack warm.

How many are coming up from the south and what time do you expect to be in the area?

How many coming from Edmonton? I would like to meet at the Tims in the Walmart parking lot on Stony Plain and 184 at 6 and be on the road shortly thereafter. I have a handful of other guys that are coming from Edmonton.

Who all is planning on coming? Think there will be a good group from Edm coming too.

It should be 7 or 8 trucks plus passengers, and then whoever is coming from Edmonton. It'll be a good group for sure! I estimated 15 to 20 people in all.

I get the feeling in not coming on this one. Not having a good time dealin with front range off-road. Eventually I'll make it out...I hope. Take some pictures!

This is the approximate location for camping on Friday night. There is a big clearing up on the hill. Someone even made a make shift potty in the woods. The river crossing is a hundred feet up the road.
