In the wake of all the errosion control IMO it would be a possible detrement to the trail to use Tahoe side even if your truck and group can and will make it in as I'm sure Mudrak , Jack, and the Tahoe boys will. Doable but not prudent strictly based on the condition and phase that the melt is in. It is just coincedence that we are arriving during a wet and fragile point in the spring/summer thaw up there. Fishing may be spectacular tho as the melt floods the bodies of water with food so the bite should be on for fish and skeeters.

That should be the primary factor in any decision. Thus Rubithon is formally presenting Loon lake as the entry and exit points.

Dion, you've been pretty quiet...are you going in with Larry and Big Jim Thurs?

Got the 40 packed today. Got fishing gear. Got raffle money. Still gotta pack food but all looks good. 40 is holdin together. trailer tires weren't flat.
Orion does not pop outa gear no mo. Shifter issue it seems.
See you tues night Michael. We should have fire goin by time you get there.

I'm still going. I'll be on Gunners run.
Just hoping the Yukon will pull the toyota fine, tranny went out in my diesel.

The Yukon will pull it you just have to go slow up the hill outside Cameron Park and up the big hill on Ice House. It would not hurt to drop into oil stop or dealer and have that tranny fluid changed with new filter before you go.

Tim, Jim usually gets under way about 8 to 8:30. But if you left at say 2 youd catch them at little sluice or there abouts. C'mon big guy, we'll leave the light on for ya.

Tim...

Big Jim... 7 AM
Bill Jackson 9 AM

and just a variety of solo groups the rest of Thursday.

Friday group, 6:30, small about 4 trucks. Marlin and crew might be there and right behind them.

As Michael notes, simply jump in anywhere and go with the flow.

Looking forward to seeing you up there!

dam near everybody. Tahoe side looks like it is a PITA and would do alot of trail damage putting any large amount of rigs thru. Mudrak and BK and others went in that way yesterday and it seems as though it was doable but tthey had an adventure of it. Winch, winch, winch, dig, dig, dig, strap, strap, strap, weld weld weld.

Dion and Spence spending some quality father and son time in old sliuce Rubithon 2010 fathers day week end.

That is hilarious James! Fortunately Dion and Spence were OK and Chris had time to take the photo!

as you were noting, excellent Christmas card.

Hey,
Who picked up my bottle from the camp site, you know the one, it looks like a six shooter. I mistakenly left it under a chair at the camp fire and in the morning it was gone, I thought all of us were cool.

Jim gave it to me and I wanted it for a specific reason.

Therefore, if anybody knows its location, I would really like to have it back, but if you really wanted it that bad, that you had to take it, I guess you needed it more than I did.

I AM JUST BUMMED.

Michael, last time I saw it you pulled it from your back waistband and I thought you put it back. I believe it was late around the fire at the time. That's a bummer though.
I lost a nice folding Case knife somewhere between little sluice and the springs on Tues. Been packing it 15 years...Had DPG engraved on the side of handle.

that little kid in our camp picked it up. I noted it was yours but it fell on deaf ears.

Have James check on it.

Don, it appears you and Courtney made it home safely! Woo Hoo. I was able to drop off our passengers successfully over in Shingle Springs. They were a couple tired boys.

Cindy was over joyed that we (I) came home early. Spent a great, casual fathers day resting my voice and unpacking, getting stuff cleaned up. Wheeled busu on my own property. Great Fathers day with new shoes for me (well, it is my birthday you know), grilling steaks, having another cocktail, swimming and smoked a fine cigar my father in law gave me. what a great way to end a great week of vacation.

Sure was fun to see and camp with all my PMC buddies! Thanks all.

Thank You Tony for everything. We made it home at 10 pm Sat. Normally a 3.5 hr trip from Truckee took us 4hrs. Not bad considering I topped out at 50mph on the freeway over the pass and slowed er down to about 46 mph all the way home on 20. Court had no DW at that speed and I was taking it very easy with my square steering.

Looks like Red is retired doing Rubithon and 'ol Blue will have a SO with my new All-Pro high steer Rubithon raffle prize and some bigger tires before we go again. (She did loose a front tire on a stump coming out)
It's such a kick watching your kid wheel all on her own the whole trail...hell I took more strappin' than she did coming out.

What a great Fathers day week.
