says the ultimate lurker... I saw you in the shadows when I used your name in vain.

Sure hope you can make it in and you'll be camping with us in PMC camp. We need to get our fill of your jovial wit and your bubbly personality.

and yes, Michael is coming in having come to grips with shedding another dose of responsibility (lets hope that includes drama queen)

HI TIM!!!,
Oh don't worry way past it, And Thanks for kicking this thread back to life.

Yum.

I miss Tim, will be good to see ya at the point, bring the cowboy hat & the sauce, looking forward to it.

When I grow up, I want to be just like Tim... except handsome.

Anyone who can walk around in nothing but shorts and a cowboy hat; rain or shine, letting it all hang out, has my admiration.

Completed my registration, even an inept PC goober such as I managed to get thru it with no issues...

kudos to new Chairman Jeff Greenwood and his team... everything looks great so far!

off topic... I am firming my caretaker dates for this summer... I'll be spending 4th of July in the Springs again which so far has always been incredibly quiet. I tell the few folks passing thru that everyone must think it will be a zoo and consequently, no one comes in. Love it.
Expect 2 weeks in Aug and 2 weeks in Sept. Will post dates when firm. Will be there for Tacos on the Con... another great event.

Sounds like end of August for you then? I'm going to be back in there twice a week apart in early to mid August is why I'm asking

TRT2 - 4th of July sounds like a good time to chuck some shoes and swirl some pans........... So are you stayin after Rubithon ? If it happens in June !

Yes, confirmed for the first week + of July, staying after Rubithon which is my typical stint. It works out well, by the time my ice is gone and I need a shower, I slip into the caretaker cabin where I have a frig and some hot water. Mark and Maria really like our event as it is very casual compared to other large events in the Springs. Then they slip out for 10 to 14 days and enjoy the 4th at home with family while I do vacation relief.

You see the look of disappointment on the many faces that show up looking for Maria... and out walks Tony...

Also, the 4th of July has been incredibly quiet the last couple years, a perfect time to visit the Rubicon in my opinion. Unfortunately, all my TLCA friends have just spent a week and left... occasionally some folks from the Minden/Gardnerville area will come up for a day and bring me frosty beverages... It also amazes me how many people I see every summer. One guy told me I was the only caretaker he has ever met in the Springs.

I will be doing a large chunk mid August, hope to see AgentOrange and that contingent; and a large chunk mid to late September.

If Dreamin gets his 40 to the point of being capable (it already runs), and manages to drive himself in, I should have a bunch of extra space for frosty beverages and gold mining gear... I tell folks all the time I usually do 2 weeks as backup caretaker... Limited only by my ability to carry so much frosty beverages.

Rubithon - dropping in Wednesday from Tehoma, waving good bye to everyone Sunday. I expect some pretty raucous Left Right Center games in the PMC camp and winning a bunch of $$ in horseshoes... I might even be able to beat Mark in cribbage but he is dang good!
