Rubicon late March/early April

How is the Rubicon trail in late March, early April?
Is it still under snow that time of year?
The idea is to take a stock Wrangler Rubicon and my FJ40 (35's, locked, low gears, etc).

You can get a 4x4 to the parking lot at either end sometimes. Snow shoes or cross country skis from there. Early to late July is the normal opening depending on snowfall.

Don't even think about the stocker that early. The other, don't think about the Tahoe side. Be prepared for heavy snow and a lot of shoveling/winching. Oh and remember the Donner Party, bring a fork and a friend

Put on some really fat tires, and strip as much weight as you can. You'll be golden.

I wouldn't do it unless you're a pro snow wheeler.
