So...needed to swap out a leaky CV for a fresh one...done it too many times to remember. Apparently this time, though, the plate washer within the 3rd shifted over just enough to prevent the new CV from being able to seat properly. And no way to nudge it back over...

Any tips other than to pull the effing 3rd?

Thanks in advance.

Disregard...Ben at Slee confirmed what I assumed...need to pull the front diff...something's not right. Good thing it happened in my driveway and not BFE!

There's always a silver lining, eh?!

Just r'cvd two more diff boot hits from Beno...you can drive up here for a lesson...probably attack them this weekend or next :) The worst part of the job? Cleaning all the goo out of the side you don't take apart...this is where a parts cleaner would make very quick work of the rebuild.
