Trying to remove 2nd row seats to make more room for an upcoming trip. Removing the 2/3 big seat first, I got all 4 bolts removed and unplugged the airbag and main harness connector. Once I got the last bolt out, the seat swung down and latched back into the floor. For the life of me, I cannot get the seat to unlatch from the rear 2 floor mounted hooks. I've tried opening and closing with the handle on the side of the seat and nothing. Any ideas?

Try bolting the seat back in?

I can’t get the front seat brackets folded down in there original spot to bolt them back in. The hole with the purple marking is what’s supposed to bolt into the body. They are essentially in the “fold up” position.

So I checked mine real quick. The seat latch release is part of the seatback going forward motion and I don't think is actually tied to the lever at all. So you need to put the seatback into the fully upright position (its normal position), then use the lever to let it fold down again. When it folds down it will release the latches. Hopefully. You may need to make sure you are leveraging the seat away from the latches, since you don't have the benefit of the spring loaded hinges anymore. Hopefully the release lever isn't tied to those, if so, then that's what you need to focus on is getting those back into their natural position before you pull the lever.

I feel like I did this exact same thing when I was removing my 2nd row to clean around them a few months ago.

Edit: The release can't be tied to the front hinges, because the seat has to release before those hinges move.

I ran into the exact same issue a year ago or so. I forced the metal bracket pack into position, bolted the seats in, and unlatched them via the normal method of lifting the seat back.

Thanks for responding.

Just went out and got one bracket folded back and struggled with getting the second one. Then the one I got folded popped back out lol.

So, i resorted to trying to get it unlatched with the handle one last time. I did a combo of pulling the handle, then letting go of the handle and pulling up on the bottom of the seat as the top half folded down and it came out....

Very frustrating to deal with stupid stuff like this, but I appreciate everyone's help! Leaving tomorrow AM to head to Colorado (I'm sure I will run into some of you guys at LCDC).

Thanks again, Cole.
